Programs of Our Bodies Ourselves

Founded in 1969, our organization is best known for the groundbreaking book Our Bodies, Ourselves.


Today we continue to be a strong advocate for women’s health. We are committed to providing accurate health and medical information in lay language while also advocating for public policies and institutional reforms that improve the well-being of women and our communities. We do this work through four key programs: 



  • OBOS Global Translation/ Adaptation Program
